Featuring Dr. Herbert Kotzab, Director, Crowley Center for Transportation & Logistics, University of North Florida

The Transportation Club of Jacksonville is proud to welcome Dr. Walter Kemmsies as our guest speaker for the February luncheon.

Dr. Herbert Kotzab is a globally recognized logistics scholar and professor at the University of North Florida, with an extensive international academic career spanning institutions in Europe and the U.S. His research and teaching focus on supply chain management, logistics strategy, and the evolving role of transportation in global networks.

Dr. Kotzab will offer a thought-provoking perspective on how logistics and supply chain management are evolving in an increasingly complex global landscape. His presentation will explore why the discipline remains inherently challenging, how emerging megatrends are reshaping supply networks, and why many of today’s industry issues are rooted in coordination and integration rather than technology alone.

Join us April 9th as Dr. Kotzab shares his insight into what these shifts mean for businesses today, how future leaders should be prepared, and how the University of North Florida and the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics are bridging the gap between academia and industry. This session will challenge conventional thinking and highlight the growing importance of collaboration, systems thinking, and practical application in modern supply chains.
